Trevor Gumbi & Masood Boomgaard
Pavilion Hotel: 29 October, 2015
Top comedians Trevor Gumbi and Masood
Boomgaard in the spotlight at the next Pavilion Hotel comedy night on
Thursday 29 October.
The elegant hotel on Durban’s Golden
Mile will be hosting a monthly comedy night on the last Thursday of every
month. Each evening will feature a well known South African comedian performing
on the national circuit, being paired with a local comedian.
This month’s guests will be the
legendary Trevor Gumbi, and Durban’s own comedian, and braai master, Masood Boomgaard – who recently set a new
world record holder for braaing for the longest time.
While outspoken and sometimes
controversial, Trevor Gumbi is a firm favourite in the corporate market, where
he can be found entertaining executives and their staff with tailored material,
proving that he has the ability to adapt rapidly and appropriately for diverse
audiences. Trevor Gumbi is equally comfortable entertaining pencil-pushers to
top executive management who love his style of comedy.
Trevor Gumbi has performed at all the
major comedy events all over the country. With his expressive eyes, facial
expressions and high-energy, he has his audiences in stitches. Trevor Gumbi
always arrives on time and that he puts down to him driving his scooter. Trevor
Gumbi says that even though it’s difficult to tweet while riding it’s very
economical...
Masood Boomgaard is regarded as one of
the industry’s brightest stand up talents. He made a name for himself on the
Durban club comedy scene and has shared the stage with some of the biggest
names in SA comedy including Marc Lottering, Mark Banks, Muthu Murugan and
Chris Forrest. In addition, Masood Boomgaard has performed regularly in
theatres and venues across the country and is a founder of the Charous and Bruin
Ous comedy concept.
Pavilion Hotel has a fully stocked bar,

This regular comedy night is set to take
