Amanda Fly SA Flag at Ghana Design and Fashion Week (23-25) October
“A
visitor dances, they do not sing”. This Ghanaian proverb describes perfectly
the intentions of KwaZulu-Natal Fashion Council’s beneficiaries, Zama Mathe of
Zarth Designs and Amanda Govender of Amanda May as they prepare to board the
plane for this year’s Ghana Fashion and Design Week.
GFDW
is a globally recognised contemporary international platform for commerce,
envisioned to direct, lead and promote both emerging and established designers
and creative entrepreneurs to a global audience.Facilitated by the KZN Fashion
Council,Mathe and Govender will let their garments do their dancing when they
showcase at GFDW this weekend, thanks to a sponsorship from the South African
Department of Arts and Culture.
Zarth is a
luxury brand that is distinguished by its stylistic originality combined with

is created by a desire to make “beautiful clothes for beautiful people”.

The
KwaZulu-Natal Fashion Council, according to acting MD Nomonde Masoka, “is
constantly seeking lucrative export platforms to benefit emerging talented
local designers”.The NPO empowers its beneficiaries giving them invaluable
competitive skills setsand business savviness to succeed in the cut-throat
